In a little free time this week, I worked on painting up this empty egg carton and then personalized it with stickers. This idea has been around for a little while in the children's nature literature. It's a fun way for the little
ones to collect bits of nature around the backyard, in the woods, on the beach, in the meadow.....you get the idea. Our first outing with it was a great success. Leah was excited to find things and then categorize them by colour....much like an "I spy" game. We were searching down low, in branches, up in trees. It's so nice to see such enthusiam and spirit when I start these little projects with her. Very inspiring and time well-spent.

I've never seen that before! What a neat idea. Looks like she found some fun stuff too.

I just LOVE this idea! What fun!
Isn't it funny that we were both thinking "egg cartons" at about the same time?
Thanks so much for commenting on my egg carton post. I would love for you to join us again! We do a differently themed project every Monday.
Next week's theme is pipecleaners (or twist ties, or wire) if you feel inspired. Enjoy your evening!

What a cool and lovely idea. Thanks for the inspiration--need some every once in a while to remind me how I can help make life extra joyful and colorful for my little ones.

What a neat idea! I think I will be doing something like this with the kids in my daycae! Is it a cardboard carton or styrofoam? Trying to figure out how you got the print on the carton to not show up.

Hi! This is a fab idea (found you through the Crafty Cow). I spotted that you are headed up to the east coast Canada this year. We have been living in the Maritimes for five months and LOVE it! I hope you enjoy it up here too! Much luck and happiness on your journeys and thanks for sharing your creativity.
