Egrets are something I see every morning. This month there are egrets, herons, cormorants, anhingas, bitterns, and lots of gulls. There is also a rather large snake with a girth as big as my fist that lives along the pond near a wooden bridge. I keep my distance and so does it. These types of mornings are very peaceful with that wintery smell to the air...soon enough, spring will be here bringing with it the bright colours. I can't wait!
